Matt Agnew has been warned one too many times that Abbie Chatfield joined The Bachelor for all the wrong reasons. And despite admitting that she’d fallen in love with the astrophysicist on Thursday nights episode, it appears as though the 24-year-old has little interest in holding down a monogamous relationship.
New Facebook comments from the property analyst on a discussion threat have recently emerged and in them, the controversial contestant suggests she’s totally ok with significant other’s cheating and would much prefer an open relationship.
When a Facebook user commented on a post saying they felt infidelity was “disrespectful” and “felt sick” at the thought of “having sex with a taken man or woman”, Abbie weighed in, admitting cheating doesn’t bother her.
“I’m all for open relationships tbh and I think monogamy is toxic so cheating doesn’t make me feel “sick” (sic),” she wrote.

While this may come as a shock to some, at this point in the competition, Monique Morley, Sogand Mohtat and Matt’s very own best friend, Kate, have all doubted Abbie’s motives. However, annoyingly, he refuses to listen.
While it’s starting to upset the wider population off— Twitter is lit with angry memes right now— former Bachie frontrunner Elly Miles has put her finger on why Matt is choosing to ignore other people’s opinions. According to the affable nurse, he’s letting their sexual chemistry cloud his judgement.

Seeing as every scandal this season was centred around the property analyst— meaning she’s guaranteed an insane amount of air time— Elly also reckons Abbie applied the for series in an attempt to boost her notoriety.
“At the time there were comments being made about going on Bachelor In Paradise and Abbie seemed keen. So I questioned whether she was here for the right reasons if she was already thinking about life without Matt on a different TV show,” the fan favourite recently dished to a local publication. “She was very vocal about wanting to appear on the program.”
