Fresh off the announcement of the birth of his new baby daughter with partner Gigi Hadid, Zayn Malik’s got another surprise up his sleeve for fans. Yep, the former One Direction singer is releasing brand new music, and from the looks of some sneaky changes fans have spotted, he’s welcoming in a whole new era.
The first clue came when he changed his Spotify header image. In the photo, the singer sits amongst greenery looking very handsome in a dark purple shirt. (You can see Gigi Hadid’s eyes peeking out from where they’re tattooed on his chest.)
The singer also previously teased an upcoming release with a picture of a polaroid, captioning the Instagram post, “Got some stuff to show ya soon!”
Now, we’ve been treated to a sneak peek of a new music video for a song Malik’s releasing tomorrow, called “Better.” It doesn’t give too much away but so fair it sounds laid back and groovy. In the short clip, we see close ups of what looks like someone surveiliing Zayn through binoculus, as well as an old fashioned tape recorder. Could this be a comment on privacy? The singer is known for keeping out of the spotlight after all.
It’s been more than two years since Malik’s fans last had an album from the singer, so it’s safe to say a lot of people are extremely keen. If that’s you too, head to the YouTube link for the Better music video, where you can set a reminder for when it drops tomorrow.
