WATCH: Riverdale season four will show Fred Andrews’ funeral, which apparently had cast members on the floor crying while filming…

During the New York Comic-Con this year, the series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa confirmed then news that Veronica’s older sister, Hermosa, will be entering the show in episode 5.

“We’re meeting Veronica’s older sister this season. Her name is Hermosa and she is as scheming as her father,” Roberto said during the panel. “I think at one point Veronica says something like, ‘she’s just like daddy, but a woman, so she’s more dangerous.'”

Yikes.

“She is introduced in episode 5, which is the big Lodge trails. One of my good friends, Tanya Saracho, runs the show Vida and I’m a big fan of both of those actresses and I wanted to get them on the show,” Aguirre-Sacasa told Seventeen. “She’s the other apple of Hiram’s eye. She lives in Miami, where she’s been doing what Veronica does in Riverdale, she’s been running nightclubs and stuff. And one thing we haven’t seen with Veronica, because she’s an only child, is sibling rivalry. So that will be really really fun to play.”

So who will play Hermosa?

Vida star Mishel Prada has landed the role! The actress first hinted that she would be starring in the show on her Instagram.

“So… I’ve been spending some time in Riverdale lately 🙂 || can’t wait for you to meet Hermosa Lodge,” she wrote on the photo.

Mark Consuelos, who plays Hiram Lodge in the show, described the role of Hermosa.

“She’s from a previous relationship. She’s older than Veronica,” Mark Consuelos told Seventeen. “But she’s fiercely loyal to Hiram, almost the opposite of Veronica. They have a good relationship.”

As for Hermione… “She hates [Hermosa]. It’s all under the surface. Hermione doesn’t show anything, ever. But this girl represents his lovechild with someone else,” Marisol Nichols (Hermione) revealed to Seventeen at New York Comic-Con. “So, she’s not happy.”
