Well this has the making of everything from a great HORROR story.
Indian security firm AppSecure have majorly screwed up, after AppSecure hacked into Tinder by using Facebook’s Account Kit (a hacking service).
The hacker could access Tinder by using the kit with a phone number, and using data that is stored in the cookies to log onto Tinder.
Okay, that’s confusing. We know, so they made a video explaining it all:
This tweet basically sums it up pretty well.
Thankfully, AppSecure were quick to alert Facebook and Tinder, with the issue then sort of being resolved.
So really, it’s just a reminder just how non-safe everything you put into words (or images/videos) on the internet really is.
