Dove Cameron is officially a sneaky, sneaky genius. Turns out the Disney Channel star made a little tweak to one half of her twin character Liv in Liv And Maddie and not even the producers knew about it!
Dove secretly made Liv left-handed and carried on doing it consistently for the ENTIRE show before one day revealing the news to the team!
“Our jaws dropped over that,” John D. Beck told Just Jared Jr, “We [had to] run upstairs to the editor…the three of us had seen so many cuts of all the episodes and we had to look through them all again, and we all hadn’t picked up on that.”
Another showrunner, Ron Hart, said she did such an amazing job with this small character detail that it really proved how important the role was to her: “We [even] talked to the props department after that and in the scenes where the girls were doing their homework, they have notebooks on their desks. There’s one that just looks like serial killer scrawl…and another that just had perfect little hearts over the eyes. Dove was completely dedicated,” he said.
How crazy is that?! It’s such a small thing, but like, why even make the change? Did it help her separate the twins’ personalities in her head? Either way, LOVE IT!
