“And Freya is reluctant to help her because who’s this school kid coming and asking her to do these really dangerous spells?”

To make things even better, Riley also revealed her character Freya named her kid after Klaus Mikaelson.

“Yes, they have a little son named Nik who — I guess you can assume who [he’s] named after. The Freelin fans will be very happy.”

Kai was 100% one of the evil dudes to ever grace Mystic Falls, considering fans mainly remember him for the time he MURDERED his pregnant twin sister on her wedding day (yep) and then put Elena under a sleeping spell that linked her life to her best friend Bonnie’s.

Showrunner Julie Pec told Entertainment Weekly before that she planned on pressuring actor Chris Wood to reprise his role – and it looks like he finally cracked.

“It’s so rude of me and so presumptuous, but I am just going to keep layering in Kai Parker until Chris Wood feels like he’s got no choice but to come back and play in our sandbox. I would love nothing more than to see that character again. I think he’d drop perfectly into this story line. I’m going to keep my fingers crossed and hope that I can make that work out one of these days.”
