The official Facebook page for the film JUST dropped the first clip from the film, and we gotta say, it’s IDENTICAL to the original.
Of course, this time around it’s live-action, which is visually stunning to look at.
From the same music by Elton John, to setting of the African jungle, we see the moment Simba is born and held up to the crowd by the Baboon Rafiki.
The new adaptation stars Donald Glover as Simba, Beyonce as Nala, Seth Rogan as Pumba, Billy Eichner as Timon, James Earl Jones as Mufasa (which is the same as the original!), John Oliver as Zazu and John Kani as Rafiki.
This will hit you right in the feels!
The Lion King will be released in 2019.
