Vogue reported that Billy announced his exciting news at the 20th New Yorker Festival!
Porter recently made history too, being the first openly gay man to nab an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

The remake will be made by Sony (Columbia), set to be produced by James Corden, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Right now, the only synopsis we have is that it will be “a modern reimagining of the traditional tale of the orphaned girl with an evil stepmother, with a musical bent thrown in for good measure.”
