WATCH BELOW: Teen Wolf Revival Movie Teaser

In case you somehow missed it, over the weekend it was officially announced that Teen Wolf: The Movie is coming to 2022, and it’s just about the best news we’ve heard all year.

The news was announced via the official Teen Wolf Twitter account, where it said: “We’ve heard your howls, and we’re howling back! A #TeenWolf MOVIE is coming to @ParamountPlus in 2022.”

And that’s not even the best part of it all because the OG cast will be coming back to star in the new revival movie, with Tyler Posey already confirmed.

According to Variety, Jeff Davis, who was the developer and executive producer on the original series, has signed with MTV Entertainment Studios for the revival movie.

The deal will see him write and executive produce the film, and there are “talks currently underway with original series cast members to return,” which means our favourite characters from the series could be coming back.

The official film synopsis also gives us an idea of what we can expect, where it said: “A full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, Kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night.

“But only a Werewolf like Scott McCall, no longer a teenager yet still an Alpha, can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced.”

The news has obviously been met with total excitement by fans, who are understandably freaking out that the show, which ran for six seasons between 2011 and 2017, is coming back.

While Tyler, who plays Scott McCall, is returning for the movie, fans are impatiently waiting for Dylan O’Brien, who plays Scott’s right-hand man Stiles Stilinski, to confirm if he’s also going to appear in the film.

But, while Tyler tweeted out the teaser for the movie, Dylan has been rather quiet since the announcement – instead he’s been liking some pretty chaotic tweets about Teen Wolf, and fans have no idea what it all means.

While we wait for more information about the film, fans will be able to bing-watch the Teen Wolf series all over again, because it’s coming to Paramount+ this December.

It will certainly keep us occupied until Teen Wolf: The Movie finally drops in 2022 on Paramount+, and we’ll be counting all the full moons until then.
