Taylor Swift just released the second single off her new album Reputation, “Ready For It.”
It’s an absolute BOP, but any Taylor fan knows that there are about 5,000 layers behind every song, lyric and and image she puts into the world, and one fan account has done an EPIC analysis.
A lot of people are referencing the song to her new relationship with Joe Alwyn, as an introduction of him to the world, others are saying it’s about Calvin Harris.
Some also think it’s a response to Harry Styles‘ song “Two Ghosts” which many people thought was about Taylor (which, any real fan would know probably isn’t true).
But, this fan post comes from a Larry account, meaning yes, they #ship Harry and Louis Tomlinson, BUT it points out some VERY interesting things…
To the average listener, they’ll hear the “ghost,” reference, then “youngest,” references, the “island” references and the ol’ “heartbreaker” thrown in there too…” the post reads, but really, why the hell would she be ranting about a relationship that ended over five years ago and only lasted a few months?! She already covered it in1989 anyway.
“It’s all got to do with the beauty of publicity,” the post reads. “Taylor’s taken a long time off, so she’s coming back with a song to remind us all of what made her famous – REVENGE SONGS @EXES – and what better way to do that than to rehash all the details WE THE PUBLIC ALREADY KNOW of her most famous relationship.”
Remember that article we did last week about Blind Gossip saying that Taylor was about to expose a fake relationship she went through?? Well it all ties in with this.
“After #Haylor ended, tabloids had a damn field day dragging Taylor to hell and branding her as the ‘sl*t with loads of exes’, ‘tragic’, ‘desperate’, and the ‘crazy’ ex girlfriend hung up on Harry. This level of rage is enough to make a girl shame her fake ex boyfriend at the VMAs,” the post continues.
“The entire stunt was supposed to boost both their public profiles, but it really only had a beneficial effect on Harry. Tay has been to hell and back in the last few years and it’s obvious with LWYMMD that she’s back with so much tea to spill we are all gonna get fed. Read this, and remember Taylor swift literally is two steps ahead, she’s got a plan. She… is the Cersei Lannister of pop music…”
Now, it gets even deeper.
The fan account points out a Blind Gossip article that was written in January 2013, which has now been confirmed to be about Taylor and Harry.
“This girl is furious about her most recent failed relationship! Her anger is directed at two parties in particular: the guy with whom she recently broke up; and her management team, for getting her into this relationship in the first place.”
Oh damn. It continues:
“While her jet was being readied to whisk her off to her next location, she ranted to a friend about the coupling. She is mad at the guy because she feels like he didn’t hold up his end of the bargain. She complained that “He didn’t even f-ing try!” (REFER TO LYRICS: ‘Some boys are trying too hard/ He don’t try at all though.’)
“Instead of getting the good publicity, now I look like a sl*t,” the article continues.
Taylor has always come across as the insane girlfriend who can’t keep a man and who will drag him to hell in her songs, but what if that isn’t true? What if that’s what she has been told her image should be and what she should write about?
She has already supposedly revealed that it has been hard for her to write songs in the past because they weren’t about genuine relationships… and we feel as if Reputation will be Taylor shedding the image of her old self (snake) and she will put to bed the fake rumours and relationships.
LETTUCE KNOW WHAT YA THINK! XOXO
