It’s a rare moment when we get to see Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Joe Alwyn step out together, but when we do, our hearts just burst with joy.

While attending the New York City premiere of the new (and slightly terrifying-looking) musical Cats, Joe was photographed smiling and holding Taylor’s hand as they left the Lincoln Centre, shielding her from the cameras.

Taylor looked stunning in a red Oscar de la Renta dress while Joe looked super handsome in a blue suit.
Because Taylor is the OG cat-lady, we weren’t too surprised to hear that her three cats –Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button – we Tay Tay’s inspiration for her big musical debut.
“I knew early on they’re not the kind of cats I was gonna be channeling because the kind of cat I’m channeling is very athletic and sort of wild, and my cats are beautifully round,” Taylor told People.
“They’re fuzzy. They look like little lazy bears. They’re always taking naps,” the Lover singer continued.
“They’re not the kind of cat that I’m playing. I think my cats would’ve been a perfect cat for Jennyanydots.”
