When we look back on 2017 in the future we’ll remember the embarro downfall of Katy Perry, the tragic attack at Ariana Grande‘s concert and, of course, the introduction of the fidget spinner.
But what would you say if we told you that these addictive devices were actually invented by Taylor Swift back in 2015?

Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that a device resembling a fidget spinner was used in Tay’s “Bad Blood” music video as the weapon of Gigi Hadid‘s character, Slay-Z.
As Taylor walks through the squad room where all her pals are prepping for battle, Gigi is shown using a fidget-looking device.

Albeit hers is for more ~violent~ purposes, but it’s still V similar to the fidget!
Interestingly, Gigi’s RL bestie Kendall Jenner has been spotted multiple times using a fidget spinner, so perhaps it’s ol’ Slay-Z who got her hooked on the gadget!
Just a thought…
