After 15 long and beautiful seasons, Supernatural is officially coming to an end.
Stars of the show Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins came together to record a video letting their fans know about the decision to end the show.

“We just told the crew that though we are very, very excited about moving into our 15th season, it will be our last. 15 years of a show that certainly changed my life. I know it’s changed these two guys’ life. We just wanted to hear it from us. Though we’re excited about next year, it will be the finale. The big grand finale of an institution,” Jensen said.
“We cried some tears and we’ll cry some more,” said Jared. “We’re grateful and will work all the emotion into next season.”
As expected, fans lost their sh*t.
“We love you guys and this family is not going anywhere even though this show is coming to an end,” Misha said in the video.
The show is currently the longest-running American live-action fantasy TV series EVER, taking over Smallville‘s record when it hit its 11th season.
The last season of the show will feature 20 episodes, making the show end after 15 seasons and 305 episodes.

But don’t stress too much! Jensen gave a hint that Sam, Dean, and Castiel aren’t really going anywhere, with his Instagram caption reading, “Though nothing ever really ends in Supernatural…does it? 😉”
