We woke up to possibly the best news ever this morning that ‘90s girl group the Spice Girls are reforming and they will be going on tour next year!!!
WE CAN’T DEAL.
But, one thing to note is that the original fivesome has now become a foursome as Victoria Beckham has bowed out of the tour.
So, Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Melanie C (Sporty Spice) and Mel B (Scary Spice) are hitting the road in 2019 for six dates. Our lives are made.
Shortly after the ladies announced their news, Victoria (Posh Spice) took to Instagram to address the fact that she wouldn’t be taking part in the Spice Girls reunion.
“Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012! I won’t be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year,” she wrote.
The other bad news is that the girl group will only be touring the United Kingdom next year. Thankfully, Mel B has hinted that this UK tour could just be the start of their world domination.
“The hopes are that we go everywhere else in the world, but right now it’s just the UK,” Mel revealed on British chat show Loose Women yesterday.
But, if you happen to be in the UK during June next year (or if you can save up enough $$$ to get there), here’s what you need to know about getting tickets.
Tickets will go on sale this Saturday November 10 at 10:30am UK time – so it will be 9:30pm on Saturday night here in Australia (AEDT). You can purchase tickets through the UK Ticketmaster website.
The dates of the actual concerts are as follows:
Saturday 1 June: Manchester Etihad Stadium
Monday 3 June: Coventry Ricoh Stadium
Thursday 6 June: Sunderland Stadium Of Light
Saturday 8 June: Edinburgh BT Murrayfield Stadium
Monday 10 June: Bristol Ashton Gate Stadium
Saturday 15 June: London Wembley Stadium
Get ready to spice up your lives, fam!
