Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas shook us to the core when they got married in a surprise ceremony in Vegas, following the Billboard Music Awards last week.
The couple had previously discussed tying the knot in France so the seemingly last minute Vegas wedding (which was attended by Joe’s brothers Kevin and Nick as well as singer Khalid and music producer Diplo) came as a complete surprise.
But, according to a PEOPLE source, Soph and Joe are still going ahead with their French wedding.
“They had to get married in the States to make it legal, but the wedding is still in Europe,” the source told PEOPLE.
During an interview on the Zach Sang Show only last month, Joe revealed that they would be getting hitched in France.
“I mean, we are getting married in France, so a lot of Coors Light is necessary,” Joe said. “Not hard, really, to get that, but we needed to make sure that was going to happen.”
