Just when we thought we couldn’t be any more excited for Pretty Little Liars spinoff, The Perfectionists, a major Disney star has joined the cast.
Descendants star Sofia Carson is set to star alongside OG cast members Sasha Pieterse (the IRL Alison) and Janel Parrish (the IRL Mona) in the highly anticipated spinoff series.
Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that the actress will be a series regular, which means you’ll be seeing a whole lot of her!
Sofia plays Ava, who is described as a “beautiful, trendsetting blogger and coder, who strives to be a fashion icon.”
In a recent interview, Sasha revealed that the series picks up right where the beloved mystery drama left off.
“I don’t want to get in trouble, but I think it’s a year or two [after],” she told ET.
“Honestly, I’m so glad that we’re kind of picking up where we left off. We left it in such a good place and I’m excited to be a mom, hell yeah!”
She adds: “I’m glad that I get to continue the character.”
“She’s amazing and I think, honestly, you’ll see a little bit more of a feisty side of her now that she’s in another element that she’s not used to.”
When asked if Alison’s bae Emily (played by Shay Mitchell) would be joining the show, she responded:
“I don’t think that will be a problem at all. I think the fans will really appreciate it, so that’s what we really care about anyway.”
Sofia, Sasha and Janel are gonna make one hell of a trio!
