Sam Cochrane has finally come to terms with his split from fiancé Tara Pavlovic, revealing what he will be doing with the engagement ring.
Almost two weeks after the Bachelor In Paradise star announced that he and Tara had called it quits, a heartbroken Sam has shared with his supporters that time has made him realise their relationship wasn’t meant to be forever.
“The last time I held this ring there was so much electricity and hope in the air,” he started.
“I remember holding it and believing that I was doing something important and something that mattered. That something was love. After allowing time to pass and the things I’ve discovered I can see that those moments weren’t destined to last.”
To turn the split “into something positive”, Sam has decided to donate the diamond sparkler to a charity called The Banksia Project, which focuses prevention and recovery for mental ill health in the male community.
“This will go to auction for a charity that I believe in,” he wrote.
“It’s time to move on and having the beauty sit in a box, when it could be be doing good for others in need. This is really important to me.”
