Like the slew of talented Disney women who came before her, Sabrina has been singing and performing since she was a little one.

The actor and singer grew up in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania where she was homeschooled.

However, her dad quickly realised her passion to perform, and at 13, the family moved to Hollywood in the hope of striking big.

In an interview with 1883 Magazine, Sabrina spoke highly about her upbringing and how her unique home life allowed her to be as creative as she wanted.

“I grew up in the middle of the woods, so there was a lot of room and time to be creative and use [her] imagination,” she said. “My parents always encouraged music and art in my household.”

Without further ado, here is how Sabrina catapulted her career to become a star.

What happened between Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett?

Sabrina found herself in a love triangle after Olivia Rodrigo released her hit song Drivers License.

Fans were quick to herald Sabrina as the “blonde girl/who always made me doubt” in the song lyrics because she fit the description, and there had already been rumours swirling that she was dating Joshua Basset – the man at the centre of it all.

The saga reached new heights online after the world became aware of the niche teen celeb drama, Sabrina was forced to address rumours that her song Skin responded to Olivia’s single.

She semi-denied the allegations in an Instagram post which read, “Thank you to everyone who has listened to Skin, especially those who have opened their minds to lyrically what I was trying to get across.”

“I wasn’t bothered by a few lines in a (magnificent) song and wrote a diss track about it. I was at a tipping point in my life for countless reasons. So I was inspired to do what I usually do to cope, write something I wish I could have told myself in the past.”

“People can only get to you if you give them power too. And a lot of people were trying to get to me. The song isn’t calling out a single person. Some lines address a specific situation, while other lines address plenty of other experiences I’ve had in the past year.”

Is Sabrina Carpenter single?

In the past, Sabrina was in a relationship with Bradley Steven Perry, who is also a former Disney star.

They started dating in 2014, but unfortunately, their union ended in 2015.

In an interview with J-14, she spoke about the unique way Bradley asked her out with a message in a bottle.

“[It was a] really unique way to ask someone out,” she said. “Like the pirate movies, like they do the little bottles and they put notes in them and send them across the ocean, like one of those, and [he] put a note inside. It was cute.”

Of course, we already know she was linked to Joshua Basset around June of last year, but it appears they have also parted ways.

Sabrina seems to be single, but she clearly has other things on her mind considering her career is on the brink of global success.
