Rose McGowan responded to ‘Charmed’ reboot star Sarah Jeffery’s tweets with a non-apology

“Dear Sarah Jeffery, I honestly had no idea who you were till you tweeted.”

Last week, two of the original Charmed sisters, Rose McGowan (Paige) and Holly Marie Combs (Piper) were asked about their thoughts on the show being pulled from Netflix, shortly before McGowan trash-talked the reboot series. Then, Charmed reboot star Sarah Jeffery saw it and shared her disappointment. And now, instead of apologising for saying the show “sucks,” McGowan is building a deeper hole.

“Dear Sarah Jeffery, I honestly had no idea who you were till you tweeted,” McGowan began a letter shared on her Instagram Story. “I have been too busy fighting monsters and fighting for a massive Cultural Rest to notice who’s in the reboot.”

“Absolutely nothing to do with race, that’s quite a stretch you took. I’m beyond glad any woman of colour has a well paying job. Hell to yes to that. I’m sure you are a great actress.”

McGowan, who signs the letter shared on her IG story with “NYT best-selling author” and “Time magazine’s Person(s) of the Year,” then suggests the young Charmed star “googles” her feud with executives and producers at Warner Bros Studios, instead of McGowan apologising for hurting her feelings and badmouthing the new series.

“I have far bigger things I’m dealing with. I do not nor will I watch a show I disagree with on principle… I care that the original fans weren’t listened to. I care that Hollywood won’t stop making remakes that don’t need to be remade. It’s a formula that’s gone on for too long.”
