In a recent post on her Instagram Story, via JustJared, Vanessa Morgan, who plays Toni Topez, has revealed she’s one of the first members of the Riverdale cast to arrive back on set in Vancouver, Canada. In the clip, Morgan took a panorama pan shot of Riverdale’s iconic Pop’s Diner, with the caption, “crazy being back here after six months.”

Then, she shared a photo of a bunch of tubes, medical equipment and documents on a table, seemingly COVID-19 testing kits, with the caption, “first Covid test before I start filming. Have to do this [three times] a week on set.”

Morgan’s Riverdale co-stars all seem to still be quarantining in their LA homes. KJ Apa has been sharing Instagram videos of himself trapped in his room re-enacting some of his most awkward encounters with fans. Madelaine Petsch, Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes are all reportedly quarantining together. And Cole Sprouse is, uh, somewhere on this Earth.

Last month, Vanessa Morgan revealed she was pregnant. Riverdale first aired in January 2017, and the cast have been inseparable and filming ever since. Filming for its fifth season reportedly halted earlier this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, this is how the producers plan to film sex scenes in a COVID-19 world.
