The cast of the show spoke to Teen Vogue about their reactions to who killed Jason, and if this doesn’t get you keen then are you even a fan?
ASHLEIGH MURRAY – JOSIE
“My reaction when I found out was utter shock. At one point, I had no idea who did it… and nobody knew. It wasn’t until the table read that we found out who did it. I wasn’t at that table read, because I’m not in that episode, so I had read the script later at home by myself. I guarantee you that the people across the hall thought that I was getting murdered – I couldn’t believe it. I honestly lost it.”
CAMILA MENDES – VERONICA LODGE
“We didn’t find out until we were all at the table read, doing it together. We all kind of made a pact: We can’t skip to the end to look as we’re reading it. My heart was beating so fast. I was like, No, no it can’t be; it can;t be, and I was like Oh, my God, no – it is. I thought there was going to be some twist of events, there’s no way it’s that person. It made sense, that person is definitely someone I’ve suspected before, but it’s also shocking.”
COLE SPROUSE – JUGHEAD JONES
“We were all pretty surprised, but the entire filming process of these 13 episodes has been the process of us pointing fingers at literally every character on the show. Considering that it had to be at least one of the characters… I wasn’t that surprised because I had already exercised blaming everyone like some sort of witch hunter. When the truth was revealed, it was more of like an Ohhhh,
that was the theory that made the most sense.”
KJ APA – ARCHIE ANDREWS
“I kind of, to be honest, knew. In the back of my mind, I was like, I knew that. I knew that was going to happen. I wasn’t too surprised.”
LILI REINHART – BETTY COOPER
“When I found out who the killer was, it was a complete surprise. I had my suspicions but didn’t want to know until the last second. I think it’s an unexpected surprise.”
MADELAINE PETSCH – CHERYL BLOSSOM
“I just made a lot of facial expressions. I am just so impressed with the writers – the way they tied everything together was so good. My reaction was something like – *gasp* – and then I just kept reading. It just made sense for it to be that person. It made for an interesting story.”
