We’re sorry to bring the worst news ever to your attention, but shows such as Riverdale and The Flash might be leaving Netflix.
It comes as WarnerMedia launches its own streaming service. Another one to add to the list, we guess!
During the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Monday, WarnerMedia chief creative officer Kevin Reilly told reporters that the deal with Netflix to make it the exclusive streaming home of The CW shows will expire this spring.
Of course, this could mean America only… but that definitely may affect what we receive on Netflix in Australia.
Reilly said they want to bring the CW shows to the WarnerMedia platform, adding, “we’re very interested in putting that on our platform,” reports TVLine.
It’s not just The CW shows that could be leaving Netflix too.
Reilly said “crown jewels” like The Big Bang Theory and Friends, “will ultimately end up on the new service.”
“Sharing destination assets is not a good model,” Reilly said. “My belief is they should be exclusive to the service.”
There goes all our money.
