It’s been almost three years since Rihanna released her last album, Anti.
And according to music producer The-Dream, her next album is “almost done.”
During a recent radio interview with Ebro Darden, The-Dream gave a little hint about RiRi’s new music.
“She’s cooking, she’s about done. She’s about done. Super close,” he said.
Rihanna herself confirmed that her ninth album would be out this year when she replied to a fan’s question on Instagram.
“But when is the new album dropping? Can we have a release date for that?” asked the fan.
“2019,” she wrote.
Kuk Harrell, who worked on Ri’s 2016 album Anti, also gave an update on new music during an Instagram Live when a fan asked: “How’s R9?”
“R9 is great,” Kuk said. “R9 is amazing. It’s incredible, And that’s all I’m going to say.”
