If you loved One Tree Hill, the news that the cast are reuniting for a Lifetime holiday movie will be music to your ears. But want more good news? That’s not the only reunion they’re doing, with a number of the key cast members also starring in a special to air right after the movie.
So which cast members, what are the dates and where can I watch it I hear you ask? Well here’s everything we know so far…
What is it called?
Deadline confirmed back in June that the film will be titled The Christmas Contract. In typical holiday movie style, it hinges on Burton’s character returning to her hometown for Christmas shortly after breaking up with her boyfriend, whose family also lives in the area.
After learning that her ex will be bringing his new girlfriend home for Christmas, Burton resolves to bring a fake partner, her friend’s brother Jack (played by Buckley) along for the ride. No surprises as to what happens next…
Which stars are returning for the special?
The movie will star originall One Tree Hill stars Hilarie Burton, Robert Buckley, Danneel Ackles and Antwon Tanner, plus a musical appearance from Tyler Hilton.
Sadly there has been no word on whether Chad Michael Murray will be joining the lineup, but we can still hope…
Fans knew something was afoot when the One Tree Hill alum started posting on social media from the set of a “new project” last week, using the hashtag #Christmas2018. However, the posts were swiftly taken down (but you can still see them here – thanks, Digital Spy).
But wait, what’s the second speical you speak of?
Entertainment Weekly have just confirmed that the stars will also take part in a one-hour reunion special to air directly after The Christmas Contract.
The special, titledTitled ‘Tis the Season: A One Tree Hill Cast Reunion, will feature Burton, Hilton, Ackles, and Tanner – as well as castmate Stephen Colletti (who isnt returning for the movie) but they have also teased “few surprise special guests,” according to the network.
When will it air?
The Christmas Contract will air in the US on Nov. 22, with A One Tree Hill Cast Reunionfollowing at 10 p.m.
