After just recently signing Nick Cummins to Australia’s popular dating show The Bachelor, network bosses are already at war with the rugby star as fears grow among the producers that the women may not find him ‘appealing’.
The talks have been so intense, the larrikin may not even make it to the first rose ceremony, as the 30-year-old furiously sticks to his guns.
After being forced to undergo a complete makeover, the curly-haired sportsman is threatening to call it quits and walk out of the reality show ‘for good’.
Wanting him to get rid of his trademark ‘porn-star moustache’, network bosses demanded that their newest reality star ‘clean up’ his unconventional look to make his appearance more attractive.
But, not backing down and true to form, ‘The Honey Badger’ shocked producers by standing firm with one of his trademark quips.
‘It’s like saying the Opera House is a ripper, but let’s make it more pointy,’ he told shocked senior staffers, informing them it was non-negotiable.
According to our well- placed insider, Channel Ten and Warner Brothers executives are split on the decision to cast the Australian sporting superstar. Nick is seen as a ‘huge left turn’ from previous leading men, such as clean-cut marketing executive Matty J and businessman Sam Wood.
‘The bosses have called it “the biggest role of the dice” for the franchise,’ says the insider.
‘But they are worried Sophie Monk is going to win over the audience to Love Island and they just couldn’t risk bringing out another characterless nice boy bachelor like Matty J.’
