*WARNING: This post contains spoilers for the finale of Riverdale season 2*
But if you call yourself a real fan, you definitely should have watched it by now.
Last night we all raced home to watch the finale of Riverdale. Thankfully, within 2.5 seconds of the episode, it was revealed that Jughead was alive.
And honestly, we could have turned it off there, because the rest of the episode was wild, and not in the best way.
Look, Riverdale is all over the shop, which we’re kind of used to by now. But last night didn’t have that finale flair that most finale’s have. It was a little mediocre, with the biggest ‘twist’ being that Hiram Lodge has framed Archie for murdering Cassidy Bullock.
All we could think of was, ‘Who in the F is Cassidy Bullock?’ and ‘is that really going to be the season 3 arc?!’
So since we’re stuck with this storyline, we best jump in and find out who this dude is…
Alright. Cassidy was murdered in episode 14 “The Hills Have Eyes”. It was the episode where our core four went to Veronica’s lodge. Lol, sorry, cabin.
Cassidy was the creepy cashier that Veronica was flirting with, who later came to the cabin to rob them. Archie eventually chased him out of the house and beat his ass down.
However, Hiram’s second hand man Andre got to them, where he said he’d take care of it. While Archie walked back to the cabin, he heard a gun shot that we all assumed was Andre killing Cassidy.
Sheriff Minetta is not only in Hiram’s pocket, but he was able to arrest Archie because Archie was at the scene of the crime. Not only that, but the only person who was a witness (and possible murderer), Andre, is dead.
UGH. Hiram, you’re so damn sneaky.
So, season 3 is obviously going to centre around the gang trying to free Archie. But who is this Cassidy fella? Is he even dead? Is he the real Cooper brother? Who the hell knows.
