Unfortunately, Stranger Things isn’t back on our screens until 2019. UGH.
But ’til then, we can speculate about what is going to happen in the mysterious town of Hawkins, and more importantly, who the Duffer Brothers will cast this time around.
Well, if it were up to Millie Bobby Brown, our beloved Eleven, the one and only Leonardo DiCaprio would be joining the show. Honestly, that’s something we could get around.
In a recent interview, Millie said she’s like to see Leo as her long-lost brother. “I have already made a storyline. Leo, if you want to be in Stranger Things, here’s the contract,” she said.
The third season of the show is currently underway with filming.
Executive producer Shawn Levy told The Hollywood Reporter that the new season will pick up the summer after the second ended, with Mike and Eleven’s plot line continuing to unfold.
“Mike and Eleven and are going strong, so that’s a relationship that continues, and same with Mad Max and Lucas,” he said. “But again, they’re like 13- or 14-year-old kids, so what does romance mean at that stage of life? It can never be simple and stable relationships and there’s fun to that instability.”
Shawn also made it clear that season 3 probably won’t be the last season either. YAS!
“Hearts were heard breaking in Netflix headquarters when the brothers made four seasons sound like an official end, and I was suddenly getting phone calls from our actors’ agents. The truth is we’re definitely going four seasons [sic] and there’s very much the possibility of a fifth. Beyond that, it becomes I think very unlikely,” he told EW.
So beyond keen!
