Young Sabrina is cast in the CAOS Christmas special and she is Kiernan’s legit doppelgänger

This is insane.

The Christmas special for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Midwinter’s Tale is nearly here, but before it airs, Entertainment Weekly is giving us some clues on what it’s about.

According to the site, the episode will centre on young Sabrina, and Netflix has literally cast the most perfect actress to play her.

12-year-old Mckenna Grace has been cast to play the role. As EW states, “During our holiday special, we’ll get to see what Sabrina was like as a precocious tot. And while The Church of Night celebrates the Solstice, that doesn’t stop Li’l Sabrina from asking Santa for something special.”

The casting is so on point as Mckenna has long been compared to Kiernan Shipka (Sabrina). In January of 2018, Meckenna shared a photo of her and Kiernan at an awards show, writing, “Finally💕 @kiernanshipka No, we are not the same person…here is proof.”

Not to mention Mckenna has nailed the art of playing younger versions of older characters.

Mckenna just starred in Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House, where she played young Theo, one of the children caught in the house. In 2017, she played young Tonya Harding in I, Tonya, which starred Margot Robbie

In 2019, she will play the young version of Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel.

Killing it!

Netflix has also made two announcements of cast members joining season two of CAOS: Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor Alexis Denisof will join as Mary Wardwell’s boyfriend, Adam Masters, and The Descendants actor Jedidiah Goodacre will play a character named Dorian Grey who owns a nightclub.
