Good news Riverdale fans!
The CW has confirmed that there will be a Riverdale/Katy Keene crossover!

Even though Katy Keene – starring Lucy Hale – doesn’t premiere until February 6th, we will see our first cross over well before then when Veronica Lodge heads up to NYC to visit her friend, Katy.
HUGE.
E! News has reported that later on in season four of Riverdale, Veronica will head back to NYC for her college interview and while there, she’ll organise to see her friend Katy.
The union doesn’t come completely out of the blue for Veronica – played by Camila Mendes – seeing as she mentioned her friend Katy to Archie earlier on in the season.
The show’s executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa confirmed the news, sharing a behind-the-scenes shot of Veronica heading back to New York along with the following statement.
“Before Katy Keene officially premieres, we all thought it would be super-fun to do a crossover that took Veronica to Katy’s world—New York City—and established Katy in the Riverdale universe.
“For our first Riverdale/Katy crossover, we couldn’t be more excited that it’s old friends Veronica and Katy—Cami and Lucy—having fun and heart-to-hearts!”

WHEN WILL IT AIR?
Katy Keene will premiere at 8 p.m. ET Thursday, February 6 on The CW channel. As of yet, we are unsure as to how all us Aussies are able to tune in, but when we find out we’ll let you know!
ARCHIE IS HEADING TO NYC FROM RIVERDALE
If you’re up to date with your Riverdale/Katy news, then you’ll know that Ashleigh Murray (Josie) has left Riverdale to join the new show (more on that below).
Because of her transition, she will be having some old friends from Riverdale visit her in the big Apple. Including ex-boyfriend Archie Andrews (KJ Apa).
So how will it all tie in?
Katy Keene’s boyfriend in the show is a boxer, and executive producer Michael Grassi revealed at Tribeca TV Festival that viewers, “will definitely see someone from Riverdale and K.O. face off in the ring,” Deadline reports.
Since Archie has been a big part of Riverdale’s boxing story, we’re pretty sure that means he’ll be making his way over!
LUCY HALE IS KATY KEENE!!!
YAAAS! Lucy Hale has officially been cast as the lead, Katy Keene, TV Line reports.
So who IS Katy? Well, “bold, big hearted and independent, Katy Keene is a twenty-something New Yorker who aspires to be a fashion designer. When she’s not working as a personal shopper at a luxury department store, she’s navigating friendship and dating in the big city.”
We can definitely see Lucy pull off that role.

Katy, sporting an adorable red ensemble, is stopped in her tracks on the street as boyfriend K.O. Kelly (played by Zane Holtz) proposes to her.
