Good news fam, The CW has decided to renew Legacies for a third season because let’s be honest, we can’t get enough of all the drama going down at the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted.

On January 8th, the official Twitter account of Legacies announced that our fav Vampire teen drama is returning.
“There’s more monsters to fight. #Legacies has been renewed for Season 3!”
Here’s what we know about Legacies season three thus far!
When will season three be released?
Legacies have, well, a legacy, of premiering in the month of October.
Because the show has been renewed early, people are assuming this means the show will go into production right away, making it ready for its usual October premiere date in 2020.
What will happen in season three?
No word yet on the plot details of season three, however, it’s safe to say that we’ll be seeing more of the students navigating their powers while also fighting any evil monsters that attack their school (you know, the v casual and normal teen drama plotline).
Fans are also hoping that fav characters from The Vampire Diaries and The Originals make an appearance, but nothing has been confirmed.
Who will be returning for season three?
While everyone is praying to the vampire lords that old characters from The Vampire Diaries universe make an appearance, nothing has been announced as of yet.
However, we do know that Hope, Landon, Alaric and more, will be returning.
