Will There Be A To All The Boys 4?
While a sequel has yet to be confirmed, fans are already wondering whether we’ll see a To All The Boys part 4. But, tragically, as Noah Centineo confessed to Girlfriend, “ I don’t think there’s much left [to tell].”
“I feel content,” Centineo says about the idea of To All The Boys: Always and Forever being the final film in the series. “I think of all the ways to say goodbye to a character, I think the way that we’ve done it in the third film, it feels good to me.”
“I think we poured everything that we had into these characters in this universe. And, I don’t think there’s much left. So I just hope that people that watch the film, the fans, the people that brought it to where it is today, I hope that they receive it and are happy with it. Yeah, that’s because we’ve made it for them. It’s not really not really ours, it’s theirs.”
As to where they end up, Condor says that she “loves thinking about where [Lara Jean] would be in ten years.”
“We leave her off in the third movie very much ready to step into the world,” she says. “She’s gonna live in New York by herself, and it takes a very specific person to do that. I think she’s ready to just leap and find herself and even more so than she already has.”
“I hope that she’s in publishing or some sort of literature medium, I hope that that’s her future and her profession,” Condor adds, thinking about her beloved character’s life beyond To All The Boys.
“I know how much all of her life has been spent just absolutely loving books and letters and writing, it’s the best way that she knows how to communicate and she just loses herself in books.”
What Happens To Lara Jean And Peter After To All The Boys: Always And Forever?
At the end of To All The Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean, after falling in love with New York during a school excursion, decides to go to New York University (NYU). Meanwhile, Peter gets into Stanford University in California, an over 40 hour drive… While the pair knew that it’d be difficult, they ultimately decided to follow their respective dreams, determined to reunite again when they finish university.
Obviously, this left many fans absolutely gutted and heartbroken, but it’s a reminder that love stories don’t always have a picture perfect ending, and that sometimes, our happy endings come from growth and new challenges. But, never fear, Covinksy shippers, according to Lana Condor, Lara Jean and Peter are “endgame.”
“I know that Peter and Lara Jean will be endgame,” she confessed. “I believe in my heart that they will be together and they will get married and they will be each other’s person.”
“Now, whether that means they might have to go on their separate ways to grow, learn, and find themselves as individuals so that they can come back to each other fully ready to start their life together, that’s definitely a possibility. But, I think largely, she’ll be working in some sort of publishing firm and will find him again.”
To All The Boys: Always and Forever releases on Netflix on the 14th of February. In the meantime, make sure to check out our interview with the franchise’s resident himbo, Ross Butler; how the Korean scenes inspired Lana Condor to find her biological family; and how Lana Condor and Noah Centineo are “just like a married couple.”
