While most of the internet collectively ‘awwed’ when we saw that Kylie Jenner had dressed Stormi up in her iconic Met Gala look, some delicate petals on the internet were downright enraged at Kylie’s gall.

The mummy shamers came out in droves yesterday after the Lip Kit mogul shared a few snaps of her daughter wearing a replica of the infamous Met Gala outfit for Halloween, with many of her followers accusing the reality star of – at best – extreme vanity, and at worst of abuse.

Throwing the term ‘abuse’ around for a fairly tame Halloween costume seems a little extreme to us.

While plenty of King Kylie’s famous friends commented on how utterly adorable Stormi looked all dressed up like her Mumma, there were plenty of people who absolutely slammed the totally extra outfit, calling out the mum-of-one for putting Stormi in a wig and a feather boa, labelling it is as ‘inappropriate’.

Other delightful comments included, “She looks like she will be pregnant by 13. Nice Halloween costume mom. Very comfortable,” and, “This is… really weird and vain and a little creepy.”

Here’s the thing, while dressing your daughter up as yourself could be viewed as a “little vain”, it is not by any means worth shaming her for.

Kylie is a household name and has had so many iconic moments in her career, that dressing Stormi up in a replica costume shouldn’t be viewed as anything other than sweet and innocent.

Let’s all agree that mummy-shaming has GOT to stop.
