Between J.K. Rowling supporting transphobic comments, Camila Cabello’s old racist Tumblr being exposed and now Kim Kardashian’s latest blackface scandal, we’re ready to just give up on today and try again tomorrow.
Because today’s news is an utter sh*t show.

Today, Kim Kardashian shared a photo she did for her 7Hollywood shoot, an L.A.-based biannual fashion, celebrity, and art magazine.
The shoot was retro-themed, with Kim made up to look like Elizabeth Taylor, except people who saw it thought that Kim’s unnaturally dark skin tone was less ‘Elizabeth Taylor’ and more ‘blatant blackface’.
Honestly, whether the excuse is ‘lighting’, ‘spray tan’ or ‘photoshop’, this is looking like a pretty cut and dry case of blackface.
Just for a bit of a comparison, the photo on the left is Kim’s 7Hollywood shoot, and the photo on the right is Kim’s ACTUAL, much lighter, skin colour.
As can be expected, Twitter was not happy with the fact Kim’s skin was deliberately darkened.
Kim is yet to comment or issue an apology.
