You all remember your OG crush Ethan Craft? Well, Hilary Duff just hinted that everyone’s first imaginary boyfriend might be returning for the Lizzie McGuire reboot, effectively making all our tween dreams come true.
WATCH: Hilary Duff announces Lizzie McGuire reboot
In case you’ve been living as recluse without internet for the last few months, you would know that new streaming service Disney+ will be bringing back TV classic, Lizzie McGuire.
If you need a refresher, Hilary Duff and her cartoon alter ego played Lizzie, a 13-year-old middle school student riding the rollercoaster of life with besties Miranda and Gordo.
There were crushes. There was chaos. There were hilarious crimped hairstyles that were super cool at the time. And basically, every teen girl in the world was devo when the series came to an end in 2004.
Thankfully, our lives have regained meaning once again, because Hilary announced back in August that the show would be making a comeback.
In a new interview with E! News, Hilary (AKA Lizzie) revealed that the lovably dopey Ethan Craft will be back in the reboot, and god damn we are excited.
“He’s hot,” Hilary began.
“He’s very hot. I’m pretty sure there’s going to be, there’s going to be a thing.”
Wait: is Lizzie going to finally have a romance with Ethan?!
HUGE IF TRUE.
Aside from the gift of Ethan, we also know that the McGuire family in its entirety will be back for the reboot, and is it just us or has Mumma Jo McGuire not aged a day?
Oh, and we also now know that adult Lizzie will be in New York and will have to carry around a llama.
An intriguing plotline that will surely keep us guessing.
We know Gordo won’t be returning so now our only question is, will Miranda be back?
