Harry Styles has some truly iconic fits, so it is hardly surprising that the former One Directioner keeps all his favourite suits locked away behind some serious security.
Check out Harry’s gender-fluid style in ‘Lights Up’
The singer-turned-fashion guru revealed that when it comes to his classic gender fluid outfits – such as those from the Met Gala this year and the custom blue suit Hazza wore in his Lights Up music video – he immediately puts them under lock and key.
Much like you would a piece of meat or some vegetables, to keep your most prized products in pristine condition you can only turn to one thing: a fridge.
Fashion designer Harris Reed – the man behind that blue suit in Lights Up – revealed to GQ Magazine that the costume is currently frozen in a top-secret location.
“I can’t say where it is located, but everything goes into an archive,” Reed explained.
“It’s basically like a giant refrigerator – a frozen vault – somewhere in London where I am not going to disclose.”
As can be expected, this isn’t just any fridge in any home in England – Harry’s outfits are kept under some Mona Lisa level security, with the frozen vault under 24-hour surveillance.
“The clothes all have 24 hours surveillance, which you can look at via an iPad, specifically done for his outfits, and they have all been cryogenically frozen in time to preserve them,” explained Reed.
“After his first solo tour that I produced 14-15 looks for — he wore about six or seven — I was wondering where the others were and he was like, ‘Don’t worry, they are all under surveillance.’ I was like, ‘Oh, that’s chic.'”
Chic is the only acceptable response when you here someone has a frozen vault for their clothes, period.
