If you’re still hoping to head back to the sleepy town of Stars Hollow in the future, you’re going to have to get used to the idea that it’s all about re-watching binge sessions from now on.

Lauren Graham – who plays your favourite sarcastic TV parent Lorelai Gilmore – has confirmed there will not be a second season of the Gilmore Girls Netflix revival. The actress has said that the team are satisfied with their ending, and have no plans to take the plot further.

“I feel very satisfied. This always felt like a special, a limited series,” she said. “I do think that’s where it ends.”

According to Page Six Lauren went on to say that she felt “strange” saying farewell to Edward Herrmann (Richard Gilmore) on-screen during the four-part series.

“It was such a strange combination of a piece of material and a person I loved and lost,” she said. “It all gets mixed up. And I want to honour his memory.”

While we’re sad to hear we wont be seeing our favourite team reunited on-screen, it’s probably a good idea to leave the story be on a high note.
