If you’re a Potterhead, this one ISN’T for you. Sorry.
Fantastic Beasts 3 production has just faced a huge delay, and we’re not happy about it.
Deadline has revealed that Warner Bros. is struggling with Fantastic Beasts 3’s pre-production, resulting in them moving the filming date instead of rushing things to keep it on track.
In the long-run, it’s a good thing because we won’t get a rushed production. But dammit, we need more of the wizarding world!
Production was supposed to start early this year, but has now been pushed to “late 2019”. The movie was supposed to hit cinemas in 2020, but now it is unclear on when the finished product will be ready for the public.
To be fair, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (the second installment of the franchise), was only released a few months ago, so it’s understandable that the cast and crew may need a little more time to get back into it.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them became a box office hit in 2016, and director David Yates has reportedly planned a five-movie arc. So, we definitely have a lot more of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and his friends to look forward to in the future.
