So, there’s this super underground show called Euphoria… we’re not sure if you’ve heard of it… it’s not like it’s consumed our TikTok feeds for the past month or anything.

Yeah, so Euphoria really has a chokehold on Gen Z at the moment. It’s the show that everyone’s watching (RIP Riverdale, you were fine until you starting talking about the Black Hood and the Gargoyle King).
With the season two finale premiering on Monday 28th February, stans are doing what they do best… theorising about what the last episode will entail.
Below, we’ve compiled some of the major fan theories ahead of the finale.
Spoiler alert…. duh.
Rue has been dead the whole time
OK this one has been doing the rounds A LOT. And it’s not hard to see why. Rue (played by Zendaya) as a bipolar, drug addict protagonist and narrator is…. complex.
And let’s not forget she already told the audience she planned to kill herself. Other than that, in episode four, there was a montage featuring Rue and Jules (Hunter Schafer) portraying popular on-screen couples. In each scene, Rue was playing the character that dies in the original film.
It’s the foreshadowing for us.
Couple that with the fact Rue narrates in past tense and just her overall chaotic behaviour… fans are convinced she’s not making it to the end of the series.
Fez and Ash get busted.
Fexi shippers are not going to like this one.
Some fans have suggested that drug dealers Fez (Angus Cloud) or Ashtray (Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton) are heading behind bars in the season two finale for the murder of Mouse.
Some have theorised that Fez will take the fall for his adopted brother and it was for this reason he missed Lexi’s (Maude Apatow) play.
The other hypothesis is that one of these characters dies… which leads us to our next theory…
A major character dies
C’mon it’s not Riverdale where Jughead comes back to life… it’s Euphoria, and many fans are predicting that not every character is making it to the end of the season.
The finger has been pointed at literally every one from Rue, Fez, to mysterious character Elliot (Dominic Fike) who has been compared to Rue’s late father.
We guess only time will tell.
Elliot or Ashtray is revealed as Nate’s brother
The identity of Nate Jacobs’ (Jacob Elordi) third brother has been a topic of discussion (and sleuthing) since season one.
After fans got to see Ashtray’s backstory at the beginning of the second season, many theorised that he was the mysterious missing brother. Others have guessed it might be Elliot.
All we can say is, god help them if Nate Jacobs is their brother.
