Speaking to British Vogue, Emma said that not only is she happily single but she has “self-partnered” – which is the kind of movement we really needed in our lives right now.

“I was like, ‘This is totally spiel.’ It took me a long time, but I’m very happy [being single]. I call it being self-partnered.”
Don’t have someone in your life? Don’t worry your not single any more, you’re ~self-paertner~.
Naturally, people were both devastated that Hermonie Granger and Draco Malfoy weren’t hooking up IRL, but most people were feeling ALL of the feelings about the term ‘self-partnered’.

As well sharing her relationship status, the actress made some pretty powerful points about the insane pressures placed on women who are turning 30 – like getting married and making babies.
“Why does everyone make such a big fuss about turning 30? This is not a big deal…” Emma told the magazine.
“Cut to 29, and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I feel so stressed and anxious.’ And I realize it’s because there is suddenly this bloody influx of subliminal messaging around. If you have not built a home, if you do not have a husband, if you do not have a baby, and you are turning 30, and you’re not in some incredibly secure, stable place in your career, or you’re still figuring things out…There’s just this incredible amount of anxiety.”
HUGE yes to this.

It’s important for young women to remember that our self worth is not tied to our youth, so thank you Emma Watson for once again highlighting the important issues.
#selfpartnered.
