It’s a scene the whole of Australia is waiting for – the heated exchange between MAFS brides Cyrell and Martha that allegedly ends with Cyrell ‘grabbing Martha by the throat’.
Sources have told New Idea that a feud between the pair explodes when ‘an altercation’ breaks out during a Married at First Sight gathering.
“Things get tense and Martha ends up throwing her drink at Cyrell and then all hell breaks loose,” a spy told New Idea.
But now, in an exclusive interview on the reality TV podcast Real Talk with Holly & Ali, fellow bride Elizabeth reveals what really happened before the shock altercation.
“It’s not black and white,” Elizabeth told the show’s hosts Holly and Ali.
“Cyrell is a such a beautiful girl and she’s very, she’s got a heart of gold. So she feels very protective a lot of the time and some of these other people take that for advantage to work her up, to make her look a certain way.”
Elizabeth then went on to explain the kind of person she believes Cyrell is.
“She’s very – I don’t want to use the word emotional because emotional can be taken in a bad context and I’m never going to say that about her – she’s got a heart of gold and if she wants to protect somebody then she’ll protect them,” the bride spilled to Real Talk with Holly & Ali.
“So I feel like a lot of them were wanting to see that from her. That’s my take from it.
“Cyrell would have a different view. Martha could have a different view – they’re all entitled to that but that was my taking of it. I feel like they just want to push and push and push her.”
