Dumbledore and Grindelwald are going to get “sensual” in the new Fantastic Beasts

It's what we deserve.

While it’s already been confirmed that Dumbledore had a gay relationship with Grindelwald that will be explored in Fantastic Beats: The Crimes of Grindelwald, we didn’t expect the producers to delve that far into it.

Turns out we’re going to get some SENSUAL scenes between the two, and we are keen fam. KEEN.

There has been a lot of discussion around Dumbledore’s sexuality, mainly from director David Yates. In January, he told  Entertainment Weekly that his sexuality will “not explicitly” be discussed in the new movie. He added, “I think all of the fans are aware of that. He had a very intense relationship with Grindelwald when they were young men. They fell in love with each other’s ideas, and ideology, and each other.”

Just recently, he clarified those comment while talking to Empire Magazine

“In that earlier interview, I didn’t say Dumbledore’s not gay. He is,” he said. “This part of this huge narrative that Jo is creating doesn’t focus on his sexuality, but we’re not airbrushing or hiding it…the story [of the romantic relationship] isn’t there in this particular movie, but it’s clear in what you see…that he is gay.”

He then added, “A couple of scenes we shot are very sensual moments of him and the young Grindelwald.”

YAAAS! How’s that for LGBTQ representation in film??

He added, “You’re just getting to know Albus in this film, and there’s obviously a lot more to come,” he said. “We learn a little about his past in the beginning of this film, and characters and their relationships will unfold naturally, which I’m excited to reveal. But we’re not going to reveal everything all at once.”
