While most of Disney’s live-action remakes follow the original story pretty closely, they’ve all been adding little extra tidbits here and there.
With Aladdin, they gave actress Naomi Scott (who played Princess Jasmine) her own balled “Speechless” which was absolutely incredible.
However, Disney has just released another track from the movie that wasn’t previously included but will be added, called “Desert Moon”, for the DVD and Blu-ray release on September 10.
WATCH: Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud sing “Desert Moon” in an unreleased scene from the movie Aladdin:
“So many of my lost gems find their way back into the spotlight; songs like ‘Human Again’ from Beauty and the Beast, ‘Proud of Your Boy’ from Aladdin, ‘If I Never Knew You’ from Pocahontas and ‘Shooting Star’ from Hercules,” the film’s composer Alan Menken told PEOPLE. “Now a lost treasure from the Aladdin live-action movie, ‘Desert Moon’ has its moment. I’m so thrilled to be able to share this magical song with the world.”
Amen!
The 2019 live-action remake of the 1992 movie Aladdin earned over $1 billion worldwide, which became the sixth highest-grossing film of 2019 to date.
Thankfully, the duet “Desert Moon” won’t be the only added bonus included in the DVD release! Deleted scenes, bloopers, and a behind-the-scenes look at moments captured by Mena Massoud will also be included.
Music videos for “Speechless”, performed by Naomi Scott, “A Whole New World” performed by Zayn Malik and Zhavia Ward, and “Un Mundo Ideal” performed by Zayn and Becky G will also be there for you to enjoy.
Aladdin will be released on DVD and Blu-ray September 10
