Halsey, Donald Glover & Katy Perry just performed some of your favourite Disney songs from your childhood.
Over the weekend, Disney hosted another Disney Family Singalong, ft. Halsey, Katy Perry, Donald Glover and more. And honestly, the songs were so good, it made us want to rewatch our fave Disney flicks all over again.
But if you don’t want to sit through the whole thing, here’s the best moments from the second edition of Disney’s Family Singalong.
Halsey. Ok petition for Halsey to play a role in The Little Mermaid? Seen below stealing the show with a performance of “Part Of Your World” from The Little Mermaid.
Then, there’s this clip of soulful singing duo Chloe x Halle and Anika Noni Rose singing the retro tune to Princess and the Frog, “Almost There.” It’s so brassy, cheeky and fun, and the three harmonise beautifully.
Pitch Perfect and The Politician star Ben Platt and Frozen’s Idina Menzel performed “A Whole New World” from Aladdin and it had us feeling things, ngl. Even if their clothes made it feel like they were calling it in a bit.
And ok, WHY is this clip of Donald Glover singing The Lion King’s “Hakuna Matata” sooo short?
Katy Perry continued her trend of being weird (like, weirder that Jughead), and performed “Baby Mine” from Disney’s Dumbo… dressed as an elephant and cradling her dog Nugget… who was also dressed as an elephant.
The song itself is quite cute and feels-worthy though.
Also, forget Lizzo, Beyoncé and Ariana Grande, Keke Palmer just proved she needs to be cast as one of the muses in Disney’s Hercules live action in her rendition of “Zero to Hero.” Like, WOW. Sprinkle in some goofy magical social distancing edits and special effects and Dancing With The Stars cast members and it’s almost like a musical production, omg.
Side note: according to our friends at Syrup, Ariana Grande might play a character in the irl version of Hercules.
Anyway, bless her Mum at the end because these two are super cuuute.
