In ANOTHER plot twist that is Dance Moms mogul Abby Lee Miller‘s fraud case, the dance teacher who has been found guilty on 20 counts of fraud and faces jail time has run off to Mexico for a holiday!
According to Radar Online Abby booked the trip as soon as her sentencing hearing was cancelled on February 24 and plans to spend her last months of “freedom” on holiday amongst the palm trees.
Like us you’re probably wondering if she’s allowed to ‘flee the country’ when she’s technically a criminal awaiting sentencing. But according to court docs it’s all above board. U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania states Abby requested permission to leave the country to travel to Merida, Mexico on March 2, 2017, and to Cancun, Mexico on March 3 through March 7.
This isn’t the first time she’s been allowed to leave the country. She was controversially allowed to travel to the UK as her “livelihood depends on it”, an unusual move for a convicted felon. The Judge ruled that after her trip to Mexico “no further travel will be authorised prior to sentencing.”
Abby sentencing is now scheduled for May 8 and May 9.
