Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, showrunner of Riverdale, has been uploading a bunch of script covers online in the lead up to the second season.
They’re usually chocka block full of clues, and his most recent one has given us the chills.
The pic shows what can only be Lili Reinhart’s character Betty, being chased on the snow by a creepy Santa. It says, “He sees you when you’re sleeping, he knows when you’re awake….Who’s been naughty or nice in #Riverdale this year? 😳 .” UM, nightmares.
The episode is called, “Chapter Twenty-Two: Silent Night, Deadly Night”.
Will it be a Christmas special, maybe? Who knows.
What we do know is that this season will be the hardest on Betty, which Roberto confirmed.
“I would say by episode 4 and 5, Betty is absolutely in the heart of darkness,” Roberto told Entertainment Weekly. “We’re putting her through the fires like never before. I can’t say too much because there’s a couple of big twists, but Betty is absolutely at the heart of the darkest story we’re telling this season.”
