Cardi B is totally keen to play Fran Drescher’s daughter should a reboot of the ‘90s sitcom The Nanny ever happen.

In fact, Miss Fine herself nominated Cardi for the role during a recent appearance on PeopleTV’s Chatter.

The 61-year-old said she was hella keen for a reboot of the series, which ended in 1999.

“I’m totally down with doing it,” she said. “I don’t know what is going on with some of these networks out there because they do not seem to be hip to the fact that there’s an obsession amongst millennials for the show and moi!”

The inspiration for Cardi’s casting came from a recent lewk worn by the 26-year-old during Fashion Week.

“I was so flattered,” Fran said of Cardi’s outfit. “I just thought she paid homage to me wearing animal print and said ‘Fran Drescher. And then I got my juices flowing and thought, ‘Wait a minute, she’s from New York, we both have funny voices, she could be my daughter!’”

AMAZING.

Obvs Fran pointed out that Cardi couldn’t be the child of Miss Fine and Maxwell Sheffield but she could easily write that into the script.

“I would have to have a man of color,” she said. “I’m down with the brothers.”

And Cardi is 100 per cent interested in pursuing this, posting a meme of the pair on Instagram with the caption: “I’M WITH IT !!!!! This makes me so happy cause I love her.”
