A four-week holiday romance turned into so much more for engaged couple Milly, 23 and Micah, 25, who are currently involved in a long-distance relationship with Micah in California and Milly in Melbourne.

“We met when I was backpacking through the States. Micah saw me walking along the beach in California. He asked me out and we hit it off. I was mesmerised, it was a real holiday romance,” says Milly, who only found out she was pregnant with the couple’s now two-year-old son, Julian, when she returned from her holiday.

Despite a toddler bieng in the picture, Milly’s mother Catherine is vheemently agains thte couple marrying, veleiveing Micah to be nothing but a pot-obssessed American who isn;t ‘fathe rmateiral’.

“Micah is a selfish, pot smoking California dreamer. Due to his addiction, he is a stoner, a loser, he is not the man that I want for my daughter or the father I want for my grandson.

“The last type of person I would want Milly with is Micah. The idea of someone that’s so unmotivated being with Milly makes me mad. He actually is a deadbeat dad. He’s not there for his son, he’s not there for his partner. I want Micah out of Milly’s life to save her and Julian from a life of misery.”
