Earlier this month, everyone’s favourite ponytail-wearing-whistle-tone-singing pop star Ariana Grande teased a blink and you’ll miss it clip of a new song she’s working on. And now, as of a new tweet by Miss Ari, we know when we’re getting it and the rest of her new music on a new album: this month.
Over on Twitter, the “thank u, next” singer tweeted a simple but powerful message that quickly broke the internet. “I can’t wait to give u my album this month,” Ari wrote, to the tune of millions of Ari stans and soon-to-be iPhone 12 owners and Spotify listeners’ excited screaming.
Who is on Ariana Grande’s upcoming album?
As of right now, we have very little idea as to who will feature on Ariana Grande’s upcoming album, releasing this October. But, based on the comments below we have a bit of a hunch.
The official Spotify Twitter account replied to the album with a pair of 👀🤞 emojis, and tagged Grammy-winning artist The Weekend (interesting…). Then, Lil Nas X, known Twitter prankster, shared that meme of Nicki Minaj shyly smiling with the text “so there’s this [Ariana Grande album],” leaving some to believe that he’s featured. And, just after publishing this story, we noticed Ungodly Hour singers Chloe x Halle retweet Ariana Grande’s tweet with “🥰🥰🤭.”
Could this be Ariana Grande’s best album yet? Based on these potential featured artists, yuh.
Earlier this year, the 27-year-old Grammy-winning artist and fan-casted Disney’s Hercules star collaborated with Justin Bieber on the song “Stuck With U,” and with Lady Gaga on “Rain On Me” for her club album, Chromatica, which also featured BLACKPINK. The latter K-Pop girl group, who just released their documentary film on Netflix, recently worked with Selena Gomez and Cardi B on tracks for their album, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see them or even BTS appear in Grande’s next album.
Back in August, Ariana Grande became the most-streamed female artist of all time, surpassing Rihanna at 20.5 billion (!!!). We imagine that stat will increase even more after her new album drops. Ariana Grande’s last album, thank u next, released last year.
