Ariana Grande is seriously killing it right now!
Not only did she release two hit studio albums within the span of six months (Sweetener and thank u, next) but she is now set to appear in one of the biggest Netflix movies ever.
WATCH: Get all the details on the HUGE new flick below.
The upcoming flick titled ‘The Prom’ is based on American Horror Story and Scream Queens creator Ryan Murphy’s original Tony-nominated Broadway musical of the same name.
What makes the huge announcement even more exciting is that the film version will stare some of the biggest names in Hollywood including Big Little Lies stars Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman!
Ariana will also be reunited with The Late Late Show TV presenter and actor James Corden as he has signed on to appear in the Netflix flick.
Comedian and Toy Story 4 star Keegan-Michael Key is also confirmed to appear and we honestly can NOT deal right now with all this amazing casting news.
Wondering what it will even be about?!
According to Rolling Stone it will follow “two veteran Broadway performers (Streep and Corden) who recently endure a major flop. Hoping to reverse their career narrative and get better PR (with help from their publicist played by Awkwafina), they decide to find a charitable cause. The pair decide to help an Indiana high school student named Emma, whose prom is cancelled because she wants to bring her girlfriend.”
Ari is reportedly set to play Emma’s (who is yet to be cast) closeted girlfriend, named Alyssa.
The “7 rings” singer’s manager Scooter Braun is also set to co-produce the film’s upcoming soundtracks alongside Ryan Murphy and tbh, we need it right now.
The Prom is slated for a late-2020 release and will first appear in cinemas for a limited time before its officially hits Netflix.
