Vampire Diaries fans are furious after learning that a major scene was cut from the finale. Many of us wanted more Delena moments, and it turns out there were some, including him PROPOSING to her! But it was cut!!! 🙁
Co-creator Kevin Williamson spilled the news to TV Guide (bet he’s wishing he kept his mouth shut after all the teenage tears he’s had to deal with), saying they just didn’t have time to fit it all in:
“We actually had a moment, which we didn’t have time for ― everything got cut. I think the first cut came in 18 minutes over. And there was a moment in the show where he proposed and she responded after medical school. And the whole point of that moment was just to show that she became a doctor. And so we thought, ‘Oh, we’ll just put her in scrubs and we can cut that piece.'”
How about no Kevin?! Fans are naturally pretty upset about missing this important Damon and Elena moment and are demanding it be released as an extra when the series comes to DVD. We second this!!
